The Night that Made America Famous This Chapin-written play opened at the Ethel Barrymore Theater in NYC on February 26, 1975. It closed on April 6 after 75 shows. The play was nominated for 2 Grammy's.  Gene Frankel also lists The Night That Made America Famous in his bio.  The music from the play has not been commercially released. Songs 1. It's My Day   2. He passed away in 1991.  Bill Starr Alexandra Bonnie (sp?)
