John Wallace

"Big" John Wallace was Harry's bass guitarist. John appeared on all of Harry's albums. He also sang Last Stand on Tribute. John was a childhood friend of Harry's and was the only band member to be with Harry from the start to the end. Today, he is can be seen these days in many of the Chapin tribute shows.

John was noted for the many unique vocals he contributed sang on Mr. Tanner, Taxi (The high part), and the Bluesman (I assume). John handled the singing for the Bluto character in Popeye.
