Steve ChapinSteve (also known as Stephen) is the youngest of Harry's three brothers. He performs regularly as the Steve Chapin Band and at various Tributes to Harry. Steve's music career was intertwined with Harry's including performing together as the Chapins in the 60's, scoring Harry's documentaries, adding keyboards and music direction to Harry's band and being involved in many of Harry's other artistic ventures. Steve and his wife, Angela, run Ovens Park nature park in the summers where Steve can often be seen singing by the campfire. It features 10 songs: Chapter 11 Rag, Never This Close, See the Stones, Keep Me Drivin', Follow the Trail, We'll Find Our Island, Ovens Park, Don't Phase Me Out, Life is the Game, The Key. In 1991, The Steve Chapin Band (Legacy) produced a demo tape featuring: For Zeke (They Named an Engine), Princess of the Mall, Grade B Movie. I don't know if this ever resulted in a commercial release. For the lyrics to They Named an Engine After Me see the website of friend of Jay Marsden, the brother of "Zeke". Various Children's MusicCabbage Patch Dreams by Cabbage Patch Kids (1984) - Steve and Tom Chapin produced Cabbage Patch Dreams by Cabbage Patch Kids. They both also shared songwriting duties. Steve played piano and Tom played guitar and percussion. A Cabbage Patch Christmas (1984) - Steve and Tom Chapin produced Cabbage this follow on album to Cabbage Patch Kids. This was a Chapin family effort featuring Jamie Chapin as the production coordinator. Jennifer Chapin and Jessica Craven (Tom's daughter) were featured among the "Kids" voices. Tom and Steve wrote sung Best Time of the Year which Tom sings on the album. Steve played Chimes and autoharp. Steve and Tom also wrote Sleigh Ride for this album. Rose Petal Place (1984) - Steve and Tom Chapin produced, wrote songs, sang background vocals, and played instruments on this album that featured Marie Osmond as the vocal for Rose Petal.
