Sandy Chapin Sandy was Harry's one and only wife. She wrote the lyrics for Cat's in the Cradle and Tangled Up Puppet. She remains involved in a variety of humanitarian causes today. Sandy is co-chairperson of the Harry Chapin Foundation and Long Island Cares. A number of songs Harry wrote were about Sandy, including Sandy.
