Inspiration
The song was based on Harry's experiences living in Point Lookout on Long Island, New York in the late 1960's. In conservative Point Lookout there was a suspicious fire one night at a low-income apartment building. Harry used that as launching point imagining how the fire department responded to the fire.[1]
