2000 - Harry's "Lies and Legends opens at the Encore Room Theatre at the Coconut Grove Playhouse in Miami, FL. The show ran through May 21st. The performance was directed by Christopher Bishop and starred Bishop, Sarah Guarnaccia, Barry Tarallo, and Amy Carol Webb. In the Broward Palm Beach New Times Jackie Potts observed that "If you listen with an uncynical ear, the themes of Chapin's songs -- alienation, disappointment, unrequited love, and yearning -- still resonate, some eerily so...". Bill Hirschman in the Sun-Sentinel commented that "His moving character studies of offbeat love and profound loneliness, his gentle but pointed social commentary and his joyous songs imbued with life provide the soundtrack for the interior lives of many forty- and fiftysomethings". The show received 5 nominations for local Carbonell awards.
